These special membranes are sourced from the inner layer of the placental bag that surrounds the baby when growing in the womb.  Applied to the eye using a special bandage contact lens this special tissue has regenerative qualities to repair a damaged eye surface and help regeneration.  They can be used to treat a variety of corneal conditions including dry eye syndrome, corneal ulcers, chemical burns and recurrent corneal erosion syndrome.   

Cost is initial assessment £99 follow by £650 per eye, per treatment.  Some individuals may require 6 month to annual treatments, others may benefit from just one treatment depending on the condition being treated. Eyeplan payment plans are available.
